The Full Story
I distinctly remember the day at IIT Delhi when my research topic was finalized- Indian honey. Who knew this nectar food will take me on a magical journey all over India? I traveled the length and breadth of the country for research on challenges in the Indian honey sector. In return, I got an experience of a lush green panorama, the hard-working social workers- honey bees. The journey gave me an opportunity to meet the humblest beekeepers who welcomed me like their own. Their stories not just completed my thesis, but rather changed my life. It amazed me how these beekeepers are living in complete harmony with nature. They know the art of rearing bees, the right time to extract, extracting without damage to nature, and leaving honey for the bees to return to their hives. At that moment, I made up my mind to work for them, for nature, and take this art forward. As I wrapped up my thesis in early 2021, I turned a new page of my life and BEEYOND was created. Our small team at Beeyond is still learning from the tribals and beekeepers. They have given us a beautiful opportunity of bringing distinct flavours and aromas, harvested sustainably to our consumers. We will always be grateful to the community for hand-holding us on our journey.
